–Jason Anderson aka DJ URI was born in Tampa,FL but moved to Jackson,MS at the age of 3 years old. His love for music has always been a big thing in his life. He was in several different groups as a singer during his youth. In the late 90's he discovered the underground dance scene and instantly fell in love.

He began to pursue his love for all things dance and music as a DJ. He started off on the south side of Jackson in a two bedroom apartment playing any little house party or small gig he could get his hands on. Then in early 2000 he caught the eye of a well known promoter/DJ named Tam Ragab who went by the name DJ TAM. Tam was the owner of the infamous One Nation United Crew who was known for putting on the best shows that Jackson had ever seen. Not only was One Nation United a top notch production company, but they also had some of the most elite DJ's in the southeast region of the USA.

DJ URI ended up signing with the One Nation United crew and began working on his first mix-tape with Tam as the producer and engineer on his album. DJ URI went on from there to gain huge success locally as well as regionally. He ended up DJ'ing with some of the best names in EDM music with the likes of Baby Anne, Dj Icey, Dj Dan, D Fuse, Kid Vicious, Tiesto just to name a few. He ended up locking down a promotional gig with Nettwerk America and then was able to take his act nationwide.

He then in late 2005 started his record company Arkangel Records and now uses that label to front all his remixes,mash-ups and original music. He has since opened his own private studio, Beat Nation Studio where he does full production and records DJ mixes. Here it is almost 20 years later and he is still doing his thing. He is very focused on providing his fans fun, yet very technical mixes and an exceptional club experience. He loves and respects his fans, and he is positive he wouldn't be where he is today without all of the support of his family friends and die hard fans who got him there. So needless to say, DJ URI is here to stay with no end in sight. So stay tuned in for all the latest mixes and remixes that he is sure to produce.
